Story Behind the Name

We wanted a new word that would represent a newly conceived art form and delivery system. We also wanted to future proof the name a bit because our last venture was successful and it was CardplusCD.com. (Desktop site only-not updated for mobile phone). Now what could possibly go wrong with a name like that? You guessed it. CDs got replaced by downloads and then downloads got replaced by streaming.

We liked Rejuvenate but wanted a mythical place rather than a verb. We ended up with Rejuvenary which is a place. It could be rejuvenate + sanctuary or rejuvenate + apothecary. rejuvenate+imaginary

So rejuvenary would be a place to go to get stuff needed to rejuvenate. Welcome to this special place that is the home for our new line of short story guided imagery. Other uplifting products and services to come in the future!

-ary suffix … or nouns denoting objects, especially receptacles or places (library, rosary, glossary, rejuvenary)

Rejuvenate + revolutionary would describe our new invention!

As you know, four weeks ago I suddenly learned I had a life threatening condition (an aneurysm of the celiac artery – very rare), fortunately they found this at an early stage and surgery was successful.

Jean Peters Laskey (CEO, Writer, Sales)


Jean Peters is a writer and collaborator with Tom Laskey to create multi-media content including music, video, guided imagery and poetry for use in a variety of business marketing communications. Videos depict holiday sentiments, inspirational and stress reducing themes. Rejuvenary content is appropriate for sending to business associates for stay in touch or holiday greetings or for therapeutic purposes in a variety of health care settings. 


As a staffing Services owner for 30 years at JMPeters Staffing she has experience in marketing a services business in a very competitive space. The business was recognized as an INC 500 company and as one of the largest local firms in temporary staffing during its tenure. JMPeters placed candidates in 21,139 positions or assignments over three decades in business. Jean wrote articles for Employment News and job advice training tapes that were available to callers.


As co- owner of CardplusCD.com she marketed and sold over 500,000 greeting cards with full length music CDs composed by Thomas Laskey. Greeting cards were customized using in house print shop and CD duplicator for businesses and non profits as promotional products. Customers included medical supply companies, health care organizations and non profits. Original and public domain music CD titles include: Serenity, Harmony, Simple Pleasures, Tranquility, Classics of Christmas, Yoga Steps. Cardpluscd.com is transitioning its delivery model away from CD to streaming as Rejuvenary.com.

Tom Laskey (Content Development, Musician, Operations)

Tom studied classical guitar at the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM). During that period and for a total of 10 years Tom supported himself from playing music live (guitar and singing covers). Four years of that was a successful stint in New York City playing an average of 10 gigs per week!  


 After Tom and Jean had their 1st child they relocated back to Cincinnati and after a year started JMPeters Staffing (1984-2014). When Tom turned 40 he made a resolution to start writing original music. That music became the basis of CardplusCD.com and sold over 500,000 CDs. 


Tom is busy writing new music specifically for Rejuvenary.com videos.  


Over the last couple of years Tom began to play out live again a couple of times a week with bands and solo! We will make sure to include interesting live music video on our youtube channel.

Business Bio

The most important ingredient in success of a new venture the quality and experience of the entrepreneurs involved. Tom and Jean Peters Laskey have been involved in 3 successful ventures in the producing content area:

1. Tom Laskey worked exclusively as a live performer for a decade with Jean as booking agent/manager. He was successful in both the Cincinnati live music market and also in the New York City market. 

2. JMPeters Staffing (owned 51% by Jean and 49% by Tom)  used a newsletter written by Jean and a voice-mail Jobs Hot Line with approximately 40 written scripts on "How to Interview" type topics. These two outreach efforts contributed greatly to differentiating our temp service and a 25 year profitable run.

3. Simultaneous with JMPeters, Tom and Jean started a business called CardplusCD.com which produced promotional greeting cards with information and expressions of thank you from companies to their customers. The CDs were original Tom music (or public domain Xmas music) and the art work on the CDs closely matched and integrated with the card that it nested in. Several of the titles were in the guided imagery health care space and sold well to hospitals for promoting their holistic medicine options.
